Creates high-quality, handcrafted chocolate confections. Responsibilities include developing recipes, tempering chocolate, molding chocolate bars and producing a variety of products like truffles, bars, and bonbons. Ensures quality, safety, and efficiency in the chocolate making process. Have a very good knowledge on how to deal with chocolate and expertise in different types of chocolate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expertly temper all types of chocolate to achieve desired texture and shine
- Hand-craft chocolate confections using molding, dipping, and decorating techniques
- Maintain quality control and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with sales/marketing to develop specialty offerings
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Able to temper chocolate without a tempering machine
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience as a chocolatier or in a similar culinary role
- Expertise in chocolate making techniques like tempering and molding
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work precisely
- Creativity in developing unique flavor combinations
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Culinary degree or food handling certification is a bonus
