Job Description

Job Title: Jr. Sous Chef

Location: Block 338, Adliya


Responsibilities:

- Assist the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, including menu development, ingredient procurement, and overall culinary operations.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the kitchen staff to ensure that food is prepared to the highest standards.
- Manage and train kitchen staff, establishing workflow and maintaining a good working environment.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef.
- Maintain inventory levels and conduct ordering to ensure the kitchen is adequately stocked.
- Manage food costing and kitchen budgets to maintain profitability.
- Develop new recipes and innovate to provide new culinary offerings consistently.
- Handle any issues that arise in the kitchen and resolve them in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times.


Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a reputable restaurant.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of performance under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Creative culinary skills with the ability to push culinary boundaries.
- Comprehensive knowledge of best practices in the kitchen and the latest culinary trends.
