Foreman - Heavy Equipment (Immediate Join)

Job Description:

The Foreman - Heavy Equipment in Jeddah will be responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and safety of heavy machinery on construction sites or within industrial environments. This role requires an immediate start and involves managing a team of operators and mechanics, ensuring efficient and safe equipment usage, and coordinating repairs and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership and Supervision:

- Lead and supervise a team of heavy equipment operators and maintenance personnel.
- Assign tasks and manage schedules to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members on equipment operation, safety procedures, and maintenance practices.

2. Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

- Oversee the operation of heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, and graders.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
- Coordinate and schedule repairs with mechanics, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to operations.

3. Safety and Compliance:

- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Conduct safety meetings and training sessions for all personnel.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding equipment operation and workplace safety.

4. Project Coordination:

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and execute construction projects.
- Monitor project progress, adjusting equipment and personnel allocation as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and repair logs.

5. Budget and Resource Management:

- Manage budgets related to equipment operation, maintenance, and repairs.
- Oversee inventory levels of parts, fuel, and other supplies necessary for equipment maintenance and operation.
- Work with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of necessary materials and parts.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Foreman or in a similar role within the heavy equipment or construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of heavy machinery operation, maintenance, and repair.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications or licenses for operating specific heavy equipment may be required.

Work Environment:

- Primarily outdoor work at construction sites, industrial facilities, or other locations where heavy equipment is used.
- Exposure to various weather conditions and potentially hazardous environments.
- Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and operating machinery.
