JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Officer to help us expand our Manned Guarding Business clientele. You will be the frontline sales face of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.
The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients for maintaining the existing contract base. The incumbent shall be responsible for all activities of the sales and commercial department including collections of receivables.
Commercial and Customer Service Responsibilities:
a) Responsible for proactively soliciting and executing security services sales and coordinate security services sales activities by receiving, capturing and processing sales orders while coordinating with the Security Operations Department.
b) Support the Reporting Manager in the preparation of the annual Sales Plan for the organization that is in line with its overall objectives.
c) Coordinate with the Security Operations Department on the Security Services technical and commercial proposals to be submitted to the client and assist them in the execution of the sales process.
d) Establish contacts with new clients and explain the various solutions and services offered by the company.
e) Maintain client relations and contact with potential / existing clients within various markets and keep abreast of developments within the client organizations in terms of development of their facilities and services where opportunities may arise or exist for providing security services and solutions.
f) Maintain up to date knowledge on the security services technologies solutions available in the industry / market in relation to the product portfolio and its related systems handled.
g) Complete site surveys at client locations and brief the relevant team at the company to enable them to prepare appropriate security services technical designs and drawings to assist in the preparation of the proposals.
h) Prepare the security services commercial proposal in coordination with the relevant team at the company, and submit to clients and conduct discussions and negotiations on the proposals submitted.
i) Participate in the negotiations with the clients in order to close the sale for the company.
j) Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on security services sales pipeline for the Company.
k) Compile security services sales reports and maintain other records for use in generating reports for decision making.
l) Keep track of the security guards invoicing numbers in coordination with Operations & Finance.
m) Suggest and implement process to improve Sales operations.
n) Contribute to the excellence of service delivery to internal/external clients in order to achieve the organization's overall mission.
o) Practice duties and roles in line with the authorities as illustrated in the authority matrix.
Accounts Receivable:
a) Keep track of customer account payment status in liaison with Finance.
b) Maintain accounts receivable Manual and ensure manual is up to date and compliant with auditing requirements.
c) Maintain collection action on all overdue sundry debtor account.
d) Answer all internal and external correspondence relating to accounts receivable.
e) Maintain regular contact with outstanding debtors and clear outstanding.
f) Tracking all invoices, credit notes, journals on a daily basis.
g) Issue receivable reports on a daily & monthly basis.
This covers the key responsibilities to be performed, but is not all inclusive. It doesn’t preclude other responsibilities that will be needed to be performed for the business of the company.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Sales related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in a Sales role within a Security Services Industry.
