Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
1. Perform electrical maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks on heavy equipment such as CNC machines, overhead cranes, bogie systems, wheelset changers and other machinery.
2. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities to ensure the proper functioning and safety compliance of electrical systems and components.
3. Diagnose electrical issues using appropriate tools and techniques, and implement corrective actions to address equipment malfunctions and minimize downtime.
4. Install, test, and repair electrical wiring, circuits, and control systems for heavy equipment, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
5. Program, calibrate, and configure electrical control panels, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems to optimize equipment performance.
6. Troubleshoot and repair electrical components such as motors, switches, relays, sensors, and actuators, using electrical schematics, diagrams, and diagnostic equipment.
7. Perform electrical upgrades, modifications, and retrofits to improve equipment efficiency, reliability, and safety, in coordination with engineering and maintenance teams.
8. Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or manual logs.


Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification; vocational training or certification in electrical technology or a related field is preferred.
2. Proven experience as an electrical technician or maintenance technician, preferably in heavy equipment or industrial settings.
3. Strong knowledge of electrical principles, theories, and practices related to equipment maintenance, including electrical circuits, power distribution, and control systems.
4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings to understand equipment wiring and configuration.
