We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electro-Mechanical Cost Estimation Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electro-mechanical systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting, and Electrical) for commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to prepare accurate cost estimations for MEP systems.
Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for tenders and proposals.
Prepare and issue RFQs, and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotations.
Develop cost breakdowns, value engineering alternatives, and project budgets.
Coordinate with the design and engineering teams to ensure estimation accuracy.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
Maintain updated cost databases and pricing tools.
Identify and assess potential project risks related to costing.
Provide technical support during contract negotiations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum 4-7 years of experience in MEP estimation within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, materials, and local/international codes.
Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and estimation software (e.g., CCS Candy, Planswift, or similar).
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
GCC experience is highly preferred.
Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
