We are looking for Sales Manager & Engineer for Analyzer and Instrumentation Company
1. Sales Strategy and Planning
Develop and implement sales strategies: This includes setting sales goals, pricing strategies, and market penetration plans for analytical instruments and related equipment.
Market analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities and adjust strategies as needed.
Identify target markets: Determine key industries, clients, and geographic markets for instrument sales.
2. Sales Team Leadership
Lead and manage a sales team: Recruit, mentor, and coach a team of sales professionals.
Set targets and monitor performance: Establish sales quotas and objectives for the team, track their performance, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Provide training: Ensure the sales team is up-to-date with product knowledge, features, benefits, and applications. Address technical inquiries and provide solutions that meet client requirements.
3. Client Relationship Management
Cultivate and maintain relationships: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key industrial and academic clients.
Understand client needs: Act as a technical expert to understand client requirements and provide tailored solutions.
Manage key accounts: Oversee relationships with major clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
4. Technical Expertise and Sales Activities
Product knowledge: Maintain an excellent understanding of analytical instruments, their applications, and industrial processes.
Conduct presentations and demonstrations: Present and demonstrate products to potential clients, both in-person and virtually.
Negotiate contracts: Handle contract negotiations, pricing, and terms with clients, ensuring all agreements comply with company policies.
Sales forecasting and reporting: Prepare sales forecasts, budget reports, and performance metrics for upper management.
5. Business Development and Marketing
Generate new leads: Actively prospect for new customers, identify sales opportunities, and grow the sales pipeline.
Represent the company: Attend and participate in industry trade shows, conferences, and events to promote products and build brand awareness.
Coordinate with other departments: Work with marketing, product development, and engineering teams to align sales strategies and ensure successful project execution.
Key Qualifications and Skills
Educational background: A bachelor's or master's degree in a scientific or engineering field (e.g., Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation, etc.) is often required.
Experience: Proven sales experience in the scientific instruments or industrial analytical sector, often with prior sales management or team leadership experience.
Technical knowledge: A deep understanding of the instruments being sold and their applications in various industries.
Soft skills: Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Other requirements: Willingness to travel to meet clients and attend industry events is often a significant part of the role. Proficiency with CRM software is also essential.
