Job Profile:
The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for
industrial services projects in the oil and gas sector. This includes evaluating project
specifications, analysing tender documents, and preparing competitive quotations for
maintenance, turnaround, shutdown, etc. The role requires coordination with
engineering, procurement, and operations teams to ensure all cost elements are
accounted for.
Key Responsibilities:
 Study and analyze tender documents, drawings, and technical specifications.
 Prepare detailed cost estimates for industrial services including mechanical,
electrical, and instrumentation works.
 Identify labor, material, equipment, and subcontracting requirements.
 Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
 Conduct site visits when required for scope verification and risk assessment.
 Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals within deadlines.
 Support business development with budgetary estimates for potential
opportunities.
 Maintain a database of standard rates, productivity norms, and historical costs.
 Coordinate with planning, execution, and procurement teams for data collection
and feedback.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
 5+ years of experience in estimation for industrial services in oil and gas.
 Strong understanding of EPC, maintenance, and shutdown scopes.
 Proficient in MS Excel, estimating software, and ERP systems.
 Familiar with international standards and safety practices in oil & gas.
 Good communication and coordination skills.
