Job Description

The IT Administrator is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing the organization’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and security systems. This role ensures smooth IT operations, provides technical support to employees, and implements IT policies to enhance efficiency and security.

Key Responsibilities:
1. System & Network Administration:
Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).

Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active Directory, Azure AD, or similar systems.

Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.

Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity measures.

Maintain servers, databases, and networks supporting ERP operations.

Monitor ERP system performance, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.

Implement backup and disaster recovery plans for ERP data.

Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls within the ERP system.

Troubleshoot ERP-related issues (performance, data errors, integration failures).

Coordinate with vendors or developers for ERP updates, patches, and customizations.

Assist in ERP data migration, upgrades, and module implementations.

2. IT Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide technical support to end-users (onsite/remote) for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

Resolve IT helpdesk tickets promptly and document solutions.

Set up and deploy new workstations, laptops, and mobile devices.

3. Software & Hardware Management:
Install, update, and license business applications (e.g., Microsoft 365, ERP, CRM).

Provide ERP end-user training and support (e.g., resolving login issues, report generation, workflow errors).

Assist with ERP integrations (e.g., CRM, HRMS, accounting software, BI tools).

Document ERP processes, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.

Manage software patches, antivirus, and endpoint protection.

Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure proper lifecycle management.

4. Security & Compliance:
Enforce IT security policies (password policies, data encryption, multi-factor authentication).

Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Ensure compliance with industry standards (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001) if applicable.

5. IT Projects & Documentation:
Assist in IT infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and automation initiatives.

Maintain system documentation, IT procedures, and user guides.

Participate in ERP implementation, customization, and optimization projects.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: 3+ years in IT administration, helpdesk, or systems support.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, and VPNs.

Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).

Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).

Experience with cybersecurity tools and best practices.

Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Certifications (Optional):
CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / MCSA
