Security Systems Senior Design Engineer Required No Iqama Transfer

The Senior Design Engineer will be responsible to supervise all electrical / mechanical Design & Engineering works for all system projects as applicable. He is expected to lead junior engineers within his department and to provide all the technical support to the Pre-Sales team, Operation Dept. as well as other teams sitting on site and ensure their full understanding of the systems within scope, prior to commencement of works.
He should pay occasional visits to Projects to review the executed works and guide site teams towards having the best installations meeting approved design, International standards and Industry best practices.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review awarded Project’s Contract, Scope, Specs, schedule, budget, etc.. prior to commencement of any Engineering activities.

- Prepare Project’s Engineering Document List to include all Conceptual Design, Material Submittals, Shop drawings, Single line & Block diagrams, Cause & Effect Matrix, Cable List, Label List/Proposal, T&C Manuals, O&M Manuals, ITPL, EHS Plan, QA/QC Plan, etc… and sets dates and assign works to his Subordinates and other departments.

- Select in Coordination with Technical Manager & Project Manager the most suitable system material that meets the project specification, project nature, codes & standards, set budget, delivery, etc..

- Supervise & Review all System & Installation Material Submittals prior to seeking approval from Owner Engineer to ensure that it meets or exceeds project’s set objectives in terms of Price, Quality, Delivery, etc…

- Review, Comment & internally approve all Shop drawings, Single Line Diagrams, Block Diagrams, Label Lists, Cable List, etc… prior to submission for approval

- Review & Approve all types of Flow Calc., Voltage Drop Calc., etc.. prior to submission for approval

- Attend Design Review meetings with Main Contractor & Owner Engineer to review & Approve all Engineering works submissions

- Follow up on all Material Submittals, Shop drawings, etc.. until they are all approved for construction (AFC) and ensure all approvals are granted well ahead of start of works.

- Review & Approve System/Installation Material Lists for all Sub-systems within RED FIRE contractual scope

- Negotiate; in coordination with technical manager, with both International/Local vendors the best Prices, Delivery, and Payment terms possible to meet or exceed project set objectives.

- Provide all the technical support to the Projects teams/Operation teams on site and ensure their full understanding of the systems within GREEN ON FIRE scope, prior to commencement of works

- Pay occasional visits to Projects to review executed works and guide site teams towards having the best installations possible meeting approved design, International standards and Industry best practices.

- Coordinate with Main Contractor Engineering team all the Engineering activities including all GREEN ON FIRE Mech./Elec. Equipment Water, Power, Grounding, etc.. requirements

- Provide weekly/monthly updates on the progress of Engineering & Procurement works to technical Mgr., PM as well as Planning Engineer

- Coordinate with Technical Mgr., PM and Planning Engineer to plan Weekly/Monthly Engineering & Procurement activities and ensure that all pre-requisites needed for timely kick-off of works are readily available prior to commencement of works

- Prepare along with Technical. Mgr, PM & Planning Engineer Monthly progress invoices related to Engineering & Procurement

- Track & Prepare all Potential Claims and variations in coordination with PM, Planning Engineer & Site team

- Prepare all As-Built Dwgs based on RED marked drawings received from site team

- In addition to the responsibilities listed above, perform other related duties when requested


Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Electronic/Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills such as leadership, communication, persuasion, motivation, and loyalty.
- Environment, health & Safety ·Knowledge of EMD/LCD software is advantage

- Proficiency knowledge of Fire Fighting and Fire Alarm systems standards.
