Estimation Engineer

Key Responsibilities
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and requirements for fire protection systems.
• Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and bid proposals for fire fighting projects.
• Conduct material take-offs (MTOs) and determine required resources.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain cost-effective quotations.
• Work closely with the design, procurement, and project teams to ensure accurate estimates.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize cost without compromising quality.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, UAE Fire Code, Saudi Civil Defense, and other relevant standards.
• Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals within deadlines.
• Support sales and business development teams in client discussions and negotiations.
• Keep track of market trends, pricing updates, and competitor strategies.
• Maintain documentation and records of all cost estimates and proposals for reference.

Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of fire fighting systems (sprinklers, hydrants, suppression, alarms).
• Familiarity with NFPA, FM Global, UAE Fire Code, Saudi Civil Defense standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, estimation software.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Experience in costing, budgeting, and estimation techniques.
Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in estimation
