Job Title: Estimation Engineer (Civil)
Job Description: As an Estimation Engineer in Civil Engineering, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects. Your role will involve analyzing project specifications, drawings, and other documents to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate. You will collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to gather detailed information and ensure that all aspects of the project are considered in the estimation process.
Key Responsibilities:
Review Project Documents: Analyze architectural and engineering drawings to understand the scope of work and project requirements.
Prepare Cost Estimates: Develop detailed cost estimates that include labor, materials, equipment, and other project factors.
Assess Cost Effectiveness: Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of projects and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to compile all necessary information for the cost estimate.
Present Estimates: Present cost information and estimates to company management, clients, or project teams.
Maintain Records: Keep updated records of estimated and actual costs.
Revise Estimates: Revise estimates in case of changes in project specifications or market conditions.
Provide Cost Control Advice: Offer cost control and planning advice to the project management team.
Participate in Negotiations: Engage in negotiations and discussions with suppliers and subcontractors.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience as an Estimation Engineer within the construction industry in Gulf.
Skills: Strong analytical and mathematical skills, proficiency in estimation software, excellent communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
