Job Summary:
The QC Manager in a PVC pipes manufacturing company oversees all aspects of quality assurance and control to ensure that products meet the company’s quality standards, industry regulations, and customer expectations. This role involves supervising quality control processes, developing testing protocols, and driving continuous improvement in production quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control System Management:

Develop and implement quality control procedures for the manufacturing of PVC pipes.
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with standards such as ASTM, ISO, and other relevant certifications.
Product Testing and Inspection:

Oversee testing of raw materials (e.g., PVC resin, additives) and finished products for dimensional accuracy, tensile strength, impact resistance, and durability.
Maintain calibration and operation of testing equipment (e.g., hydrostatic pressure testers, impact testers).
Compliance and Standards:

Ensure all manufacturing processes meet legal and regulatory standards.
Prepare and maintain documentation for internal and external audits.
Team Supervision:

Lead and train a team of QC inspectors and technicians.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide technical guidance.
Root Cause Analysis:

Investigate product defects and production issues.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce defects and improve efficiency.
Supplier Quality Management:

Evaluate raw material suppliers to ensure quality consistency.
Coordinate with procurement and vendors to address quality concerns.
Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, non-conformance issues, and improvement plans.
Maintain records of inspections, test results, and compliance certifications.
Process Improvement:

Work with production teams to optimize processes for better quality control.
Introduce new testing methodologies and quality assurance techniques.
Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Polymer Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in quality control, preferably in PVC pipes or plastic manufacturing.
Knowledge of PVC pipe manufacturing processes, standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM), and testing methods.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in quality management tools (e.g., SPC, Six Sigma) and software.
