Job Summary: The Transport Supervisor for Heavy Trailers is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the transportation of heavy trailer loads, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, optimizing logistics operations, and managing a team of drivers. The role involves planning routes, maintaining equipment, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight:
Supervise daily operations of the heavy trailer transport fleet.
Plan and schedule routes to maximize efficiency and ensure timely delivery.
Monitor and ensure compliance with all transport regulations and safety standards.

Team Management:
Lead, train, and manage a team of drivers and transport staff.
Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement training programs as needed.
Address and resolve any issues or conflicts within the team.

Logistics Coordination:
Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and other departments to ensure smooth transport operations.
Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper handling and safety.
Optimize routes and manage delivery schedules to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

Fleet Management:
Monitor and maintain the condition of heavy trailers and related equipment.
Schedule and oversee regular maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
Ensure all equipment is compliant with regulatory requirements.

Compliance and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of transport activities, including logs, inspections, and driver hours.
Ensure all documentation related to transport and compliance is completed and filed correctly.
Stay updated on changes in transport regulations and adjust operations as necessary.

Safety and Risk Management:
Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
Address any safety concerns or incidents promptly and report them according to company procedures.

Customer Service:
Communicate effectively with clients to address inquiries, provide updates, and resolve issues.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through reliable and timely service.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Transport Supervisor or in a similar role, particularly with heavy trailers.
Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite.
Valid driver’s license will be preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field is preferred.

Salary Slab:2300-2500
