Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with proven expertise in managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, and auditing while leading and mentoring junior accounting staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Conduct detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and ensure all discrepancies are identified and resolved.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
Coordinate the preparation of tax returns.
Review and approve journal entries, account adjustments, and other accounting activities.
Lead audits, liaise with external auditors, and assist in the preparation of audit schedules.
Monitor cash flow, manage payroll, and oversee fixed assets accounting.
Provide financial analysis and insight to management for decision-making.
Ensure internal controls are implemented and operating effectively to safeguard company assets.
Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, providing training and support as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CMA or equivalent certification is preferred).
Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in a senior or supervisory role in Saudi Arabia.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel (advanced).
Solid understanding of vat regulations and compliance.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proven ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Leadership skills with experience in managing or mentoring teams.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in FMCG accounting.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing work environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
