Key Responsibilities
1. Installation & Maintenance:
Install electrical wiring, systems, and equipment according to specifications and safety standards.
Inspect and troubleshoot existing electrical systems for faults and damages.
Replace or repair faulty components such as circuit breakers, switches, and wiring.
2. Reading Technical Drawings:
Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to plan and execute tasks accurately.
3. Compliance & Safety:
Adhere to local and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure workplace safety.
4. Testing & Troubleshooting:
Use tools like voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to test electrical systems.
Diagnose and fix issues related to electrical circuits, short circuits, or system failures.
5. Collaboration:
Work closely with other technicians, contractors, or engineers to complete projects on time.
Provide technical guidance to apprentices or junior staff when necessary.
6. Documentation:
Maintain records of installations, repairs, and maintenance for future reference.
Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in electrical systems and wiring methods.
Familiarity with tools such as pliers, wire strippers, and soldering equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and precision.
Physical stamina and dexterity for manual tasks.
Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Vocational training or apprenticeship in electrical work.
Having EWA License.
